Captain Sandeep Mansukhani Visits IHS

Captain Sandeep Mansukhani, the first Sindhi captain to climb on Mt.Everest, visited IHS Oud Metha campus on 14th March 2021. Captain Sandeep was welcomed by our Hon. Chairman Girish Jethwani, Hon. Vice Chairman Harish Pawani and CEO Punit MK Vasu. He was presented with a bouquet and a memento in recognition of his outstanding achievements.

Captain Sandeep has had a long professional career of flying commercial aircrafts in India, rising to the rank of Captain in Jet Airways and then Qatar Airlines. Apart from his professional career, he has made various achievements in the field of mountaineering, car racing, cycling, etc. He pursued his long-cherished goal of scaling the Sagarmatha, Mt. Everest summit 29,029’ the highest peak on the earth on 21st May 2018. He also summited the highest peak of Europe, Mt. Elbrus 18,510’ in 2019 and Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak of Africa 19,341’ in 2020.

He made history by becoming the first Sindhi mountaineer with Tricolour & Jhoolelal Sai flag, first commercial pilot and first alumni of Bishop Cotton School - Shimla & St. Luke’s School – Solan, Himachal Pradesh.
