Circle of Happiness, Inclusion and Well-being are an essential part of the school system at the Indian High Group of Schools.

Counselling Services

Counsellors collaborate with teachers and parents in the identification of various academic and psycho-socio-emotional needs, and further in providing the required interventions. This plays a crucial role in both removing and preventing further barriers to learning that Students of Determination (SD) may be struggling with. All our intervention programs are tailored to the specific needs of the Students of Determination, ensuring the achievement of the best possible outcomes. Our focus is on developing skills and behaviours critical for academic achievement and holistic personal development.
 

We have a team of highly skilled and experienced Counsellors, Special Educators and Learning Support Assistants whose sole motto is to empower the Students of Determination to deal with a wide range of difficulties and challenges that they may face and carry out the whole school programs for wellbeing.

The Circle of Happiness, Inclusion, and Wellbeing initiated this process for parents who wish to seek support from the school counselor. Counselling and Wellbeing Circle deals with all the information provided in a sensitive and confidential manner.

Student and Parent talks are conducted by respective Section Counsellors of Grades KG1- Grade 4 on various topics that are important in terms of holistic development of the students and effective parenting skills.

KG 1 – Grade 4 – Circle Time with the Counsellor

  • Sessions are exclusively for the parents once a week after school.
  • Parents can write an email to the counsellor if they wish to connect with the counsellor.
  • The counsellor selects 3 parents on a first-come, first-serve basis for each session.

    ➜ Provides in-class learning support for the students
    ➜ Ensures student integration within the classroom
    ➜ Support provided from KG1 - Grade 4

    SPECIAL EDUCATOR

    ➜ Develops skills through tailor made instructional lessons/materials
    ➜ Provides individual support through withdrawal sessions
    ➜ Support provided from Grade 1-Grade 4 for students of determination

    COUNSELOR

    ➜ Undertakes psycho educational assessments
    ➜ Conducts individual and mass counselling
    ➜ Support provided in all grades through withdrawal sessions.

    SPEECH THERAPIST

    ➜ Assess students with language and communication issues
    ➜ Provides speech and language interventions through withdrawal sessions
    ➜ Support provided from KG1-Grade 4 for students of determination
