IHS secures 1st position at the Global Gavel Club International Speech Contest
The Indian High School Gavel Club secured the First position at the Global Gavel Club International Speech Contest held on 19th December 2020.
With a panel of 9 judges, 1 tie breaker and DTM Narsimha Roa from Saudi Arabia as the chief Judge, the contest was a tight fight between the contestants.
Amrita Unnikrishnan of 12 Arts B won the accolade competing with 11 contestants of Division J from Oman, Singapore, UAE and India. Amrita gave an inspirational speech on Procrastination and how to overcome fear. Her topic was' Give me 10 more minutes please....’ She will be further participating in the International Level Speech Contest of all Global Divisions in January 2021 where she will compete with 11 First position winners from Divisions A TO K.
