Gala Convocation 2021: Celebration 6 of 7 – 29th June
Graduation is an important event for our senior students. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the end of an era with friends and family, to recognize past accomplishments and look forward to future ones. It is one of the most important moments in a student's life as it marks a transition from one stage in his/her educational life to another.
Graduation is not so much an ending but a new beginning. It is the beginning of their journey to self-discovery as they unravel what it is that they really want out of life in college. Celebrating this important event makes our students, parents and the entire IHS community feel proud and more connected as a family.
On 29th June, we welcomed a group of 80 students, their parents, members of our Board of Trustees, Mr. Hemandas Bhatia, Former Hon. Secretary of our Board of Trustees as a special guest and Dr. Juma Al Matrooshi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer – DSOA, as the Chief Guest for the event. Mr. Hemandas Bhatia has been instrumental in the school's growth and success and was felicitated by our Hon. Chairman Mr. Girish Jethwani for all his invaluable contributions.
Dr. Juma joined DSOA in December 2006, bringing with him a vast experience in Finance, Commercial Operations, and Licensing amongst other areas. Prior to joining DSOA, Dr. Juma held several senior governmental positions, including as head of commercial licensing at the Dubai Economic Department (DED) and the Director of Finance, Commercial Operations, and Licensing at the Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA).
Dr. Juma is a representative for the Dubai government at general assemblies for publicly listed companies. He has also served as a member of several committees, including the Ministry of Economy and Commerce’s trademark committee, Dubai Marketing and Tourism’s development board, and the UAE Banking institute’s insurance brokerage committee.

Congratulations to our graduates! Life has a way of providing ups and downs, joys and disappointments, hardships and windfalls. No matter where you go, you will always be the stars of IHS, and we believe that our students have the ability to go out and do incredible things anywhere in this world.
